Final Mission - 15lbs to a Sexy Display of Health

So close! - yet so far away... I'm only 15lbs away from my ideal weight of 130lbs, and it's coming off this year! Keep up with me to see if I make it happen in the next 6 months, in time for a desert vacation with my man!

Oh, HI !

I guess there are people reading this... I wasn't sure at first, but apparently there's been some traffic. Ok, so... no weight lost yet. I'll be starting my cleanse on Sunday, so we'll see how that goes. I've been feeling extra large lately (could've been due to leak week =]), and I'm so ready for this cleanse it's not even funny. So I'll be preparing tomorrow - going to the market for lemons and pure maple syrup, etc. Also, I'll be cleaning the bathtub so I can soak in some hot water each night... and making sure I have sage and teas and things. I told you there's are several "options" that you can add to your cleanse to make it all the more worth the effort. Any joiners?? Contact me, and I can help you get started!

Starting a cleanse soon!...

@ 11:06 AM (7 months, 18 days ago)

Hello again,

I thought I'd mention that I'll be doing a cleanse soon. I'll start preparation on February 26th, and begin the official cleanse on March 2nd. I'm doing the master cleanse, which many of you may have heard of. It is best done this time of year. I had great success with this last year, and I'm excited to do it again! It makes you feel really amazing. These are the basics:

-drink 8-12 cups of lemonade, maple syrup, and cayenne mixtures each day.

-drink laxative and mint teas.

-drink as much water as you like.

-No other liquids, no food, no smoking, drugs, etc.

-The cleanse lasts 10 days, but if you're not ready for this, you can modify the length.

There are MANY more details as far as preparation, coming off the cleanse, benefits, what to do to enhance the detox effects during your cleanse, how much/when to consume each ingredient, etc...

PLEASE contact me for guidance and support through your cleanse, should you decide to join me. There's a lot that you need to know before beginning a cleanse. I am only offering my knowledge and guidance. I am not yet a certified nutritionist, and I will not be held liable if you have a negative experience with your cleanse. If you're interested, this can be an extremely life changing and rewarding experience that you will learn from and repeat.

So I hope to hear from some health wannabe's soon! =]

Hello all,

This here is my very first blog, ever. Welcome! I'll give you the basics about me and why I'm starting this blog:

I'm 21, born and raised in southern California, and lucky enough to still be here. I have a little girl, almost 3 years old, yes, already. I'm a naturalist of sorts; prefer to eat whole foods and don't take medications. I've studied Whole Foods Nutrition over the past few years, and hope to be a certified Clinical Nutritionist within the next couple years. I'm into crafts and insence, farmers markets and used clothes. So, like a mild version of a tree-hugger =]. I have a boyfriend. We're 3 months in, and doing great.

So 3 years ago, I gained an extra 15 pounds, and I've been fretting over it ever since. Working the nine to five in a cubicle doesn't exactly help the cause. I recently viewed a couple blogs and thought they were really interesting. So I decided I wanted to get in on some o' that action, and start my own blog. I'm really hoping for some response! So if at any point anyone has a question, request, comment... please send it over.

I'm taking a trip to Black Rock City, Nevada for a little even we like to call BURNING MAN! I went 2 years ago and it was amazing, so I'm really looking forward to going back. If any of you know about BM, you know that it is HOT and very little clothing is worn. So, I want to feel unhibited and awesome when I get there in late August. My goal is to go from 145lbs, to 130lbs (I'm 5'6", by the way). It's not major, but losing weight is losing weight, and it's hard. I have 6 months to do it, and it's more than possible. So I'm hoping with a lot of self-motivation, and a little support from my internet community, I'll be able to make it happen.

These are the general quidelines as to how I plan to accomplish my goal:

-Drink TONS of water - (my sister lost a lot of weight a couple years ago, and this is one thing that she says was major)

-Have a more structured meal scedule (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner - all at the approprate times, all in moderation) Being that I study nutrition, I know what a healthy diet consists of, and I know what needs to be done to make weight loss happen. Now I just need to learn to practice what I preach!

-Cut down on getting my drink on at the bar! I need to start passing on that 3rd pitcher...

-More will be added as I go, I'm sure...

So I'll keep you updated on how things are going, and you'll get to enjoy listening in on my triumphs as well as what happens when I eat an entire pizza for dinner.

I'll be back on Monday =]

I'm pretty dang excited!
